Announcement Received About Bread Increases

You may have heard the phrase “do we buy with dollars” used to claim that the dollar has no effect on the welfare of the country. So you’re probably also aware of how the dollar can affect even bread. There is a raise in bread at certain intervals and these raises attract the attention of the citizens. A claim made today made the citizens say, “We can’t even buy bread”. However, this claim was denied by the President of the Turkish Bakers Federation.

Recently, it has been talked about that the price of bread will increase frequently, and finally today, news came that it would increase to 3-4 liras, and the consumer was naturally worried. Turkey that needs to make a statement on this President of Bakers Federation Halil İbrahim Balcı, stating that there is no need to worry, denied this claim.

“Our citizens should never, ever be uneasy”

In the statement made by the Turkish Bread Producers Employers’ Union, “Bread will be 4-5 liras and bakers will close their shutters for up to 10 days” was writing. Reminding that there was an increase in the cost of bread in his statement on this, Balcı used the following statements:

Flour prices, yeast prices, electricity, natural gas and water prices change every day, but this does not mean that we will leave our citizens without bread. Necessary action will be taken to ensure that our consumers are not victimized and our tradesmen are not faced with even greater difficulties. The news that the bread will cost 4-5 liras does not reflect the truth. We are in favor of a solution through consultations. In this regard, our door is open to everyone. Our citizens should never be worried. I also request that the statements made outside of our federation not be respected.
