Axel Springer again! Mathias Döpfner again! Normally, a publishing house puts out content about others, but the home of “Bild” of all things comes up with producing harmful news about itself. In the language of the tabloid: another “Döpfner earthquake”.
This tremor came about because quotes from late-night private online communication were again circulating in the German press landscape, thrown eruptively in men-bundler The world belongs to us prose. The CEO and major shareholder Döpfner flatly defames “Ossis” as “communists or fascists”, Angela Merkel appears as the “nail in the coffin of democracy” and leading politicians are suddenly people who “earlier shouldn’t even have been allowed to run a savings bank”.
Some may have come about in an (unsuccessful) attempt to exaggerate satirically. The context is also missing. concessions have to be made. And yet the finds from a number of chats and emails show the direction in which the first man at Springer is thinking.
