We reviewed the Bilingual Reading Development Practices for Deaf Children Using Turkish Sign Language Project, which was supported within the scope of Sabancı Foundation Grant Program and carried out in partnership with Boğaziçi University under the coordination of the Turkish Association of the Hearing Impaired (TİED). Kids with the Bilingual Stories mobile app Turkish Sign Language (TİD) 7 different stories You can watch and read in Turkish. In the reading section, there are both Turkish subtitles and TID signs. Clicking on the brightly colored text opens the TID equivalent of the words or phrases.
In the “Learn” section, there is a sign language dictionary with video and children can repeat the words they have learned. With the bilingual structure of the application (Turkish and TİD), children can learn Turkish and TİD together.
