Berlin The traffic light coalition wants to significantly relieve taxpayers in the coming year. The planned tax cuts add up to at least 27 billion euros. This emerges from a table with preliminary figures from the federal government, which is available to the Handelsblatt. It’s a first unofficial estimate.

The tax cuts are part of the third relief package that the SPD, Greens and FDP agreed on Sunday. The greatest effect is the reduction of the cold progression, from which around 48 million taxpayers should benefit. The relief effect is estimated at 12.4 billion euros.
