Berlin The parliamentary budget deliberations start unusually this year. Because of a bereavement in the family, Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) will not bring the 2023 draft to the Bundestag on Tuesday, but his State Secretary Florian Toncar. At the same time, the budget is already outdated by this time.
Finally, the third relief package that the SPD, Greens and FDP agreed on Sunday still has to be incorporated. Lindner has already set a target: he wants to comply with the debt brake as planned in 2023 despite additional billions in expenditure. “These measures are taking place within the previous budget planning,” said the finance minister at the presentation on Sunday.
