Alper Gezeravcı Announced What He Took to Space

Alper Gezeravcı, Turkey’s first astronaut, shared the list of things he took with him on his historic space journey.

He announced that other things the astronaut took with him included family photos and the veils of his first squadron in the Turkish Air Force. Gezeravcı also pointed to the Turkish Flag and said: “And my flag brought me here.” he said.

Gezeravcı explained the items he took with him

“I brought some symbols of Turkish nomadic culture. Some family photos and the flight veils of my first fleet. These are the items I brought. And my flag brought me here.”

Gezeravcı also answered the question about the feeling of flying in the broadcast he attended and said, “Unbelievable. It is incredible to be able to use all the space in all dimensions and be aware of the fourth dimension without the need for wings and without any limitations. Normally, you know, we were flying in the dimension, now we were taking the ground as our orientation platform, we were using all the places around us and the ground as a platform. So, starting with the Dragon, our commander asked us to take the things inside the Dragon. From the first moment he set us free It was an incredible feeling. “It was an incredible feeling from the first second.” he said.
