Frankfurt Trading on the German stock market takes place on Whit Monday – despite the national holiday. The Dax started trading positively. When it comes to economic data, however, the agenda is largely empty and stock market turnover should remain manageable due to the holiday.

By Thursday at the latest, however, the markets in the euro zone and outside are likely to start moving: At the meeting of the Council of the European Central Bank (ECB), investors and strategists are expecting President Christine Lagarde to state clearly what specific course they will take to deal with the high inflation will oppose.

Investors’ fears of additional burdens from a tighter monetary policy for an economy already battered by war and the pandemic could cause renewed volatility on the stock markets.
