In recent weeks, millions of young people, especially students, have had their eyes on the tax-free telephone campaign, one of the promises made for the Presidential Elections. The notification regarding tax-free technological device and internet support for university students was published in the Official Gazette.
The upper limit for tax-free telephone and internet for students is 26 years of age.
Procedures and principles regarding tax-free technological device and internet support for students studying in higher education institutions were shared. When we looked at the articles, the age limit attracted attention. Accordingly, the student who wants to benefit from this campaign must be under 26 years of age as of the purchase date. Here are all the items;
Application conditions for technological device support
- Being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
- Being a student enrolled in a higher education institution, excluding open education programs,
- Must not be less than 26 years old as of the date of purchase,
- The final sales price of the computer device and mobile phone device for which technological device support is applied must be less than 9,500.00 Turkish lira, including taxes,
- The technological device purchased is not second-hand,
- There must be an electronic invoice for the technological device purchased and the invoice must be issued in the name of the student who will receive the support, including the Republic of Turkey Identity Number,
- The IBAN number reported for the technological device purchased belongs to the student who purchased it,
- The telephone line to be used for the purchased mobile phone device must belong to the student who purchased it.
- The information requested by the Ministry for the purchased device must be written in the relevant sections of the invoice issued electronically,
- There are no products other than the technological device subject to support in the invoice issued electronically,
It must meet the conditions together.
Application conditions for internet support
- Being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
- Being a student enrolled in a higher education institution, excluding open education programs,
- Must not be less than 26 years old as of the application date,
- Not having benefited from this support before,
- The telephone line from which internet support will be used must belong to the student,
- Application must be made between the dates determined by the Ministry,
- must meet both conditions.
