Introducing the new Microsoft 365 Basic!
Microsoft 365 Basic was originally designed as a reduced version of some features versus the standard version of Microsoft 365, which has a $6.99 price tag. With the new Basic version, which offers 100 GB of cloud storage over OneDrive, users will be able to use Outlook ad-free.
Microsoft 365 Basic, which will be available to users on January 30, 2023, will also have advanced security features for mobile and web. For example, new features such as data encryption and suspicious connection checking will be introduced in the mailbox for Outlook.
Microsoft will clone your voice with artificial intelligence!
Microsoft has announced a text-to-speech artificial intelligence model called VALL-E. Artificial intelligence will be able to clone your voice in 3 seconds.
Microsoft offers users with an existing 100GB OneDrive subscription to upgrade to 365 Basic for $1.99. In addition, with the new Basic option, OneDrive also adds advanced security features with personal safe, password protected connection, malware detection and file restore.
The main difference between Microsoft 365 Basic and the basic version is that the new subscription system does not support desktop application access for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Microsoft Vice President Liat Ben-Zur points out that many radical changes have been made in the last 10 years, but despite the changing costs and rising inflation, Microsoft subscription fees have not been increased. In the same way, Ben-Zur states that prices will not be increased in the near future, and that he cannot give the same guarantee for the future.
