A trailer with lots of spoilers has been released for Spider-Man 2!

Insomniac has released the launch trailer for Spider-Man 2 ahead of its October 20 release exclusively for PlayStation 5. The trailer introduces two new villains, Sandman and Mister Negative, giving us our first look at these foes. We can also see a glimpse of Harry Osborne, Spider-Man’s battle against the Lizard, and a close-up look at Venom.

Sandman and Mister Negative are also included in the Spider-Man 2 story!

The trailer hints at a major plot development by suggesting that Peter Parker may transform into Venom during the events of the game. However, the previous Spider-Man 2 trailer strongly hinted that the person behind the alien costume was Pete’s friend Harry Osborn.

The list of villains Spider-Man will face in the second game continues to expand. While Kraven the Hunter and Lizard are already known, Sandman and Mister Negative have now been added to the roster.

The summary of the trailer includes the following statements: “Nine months after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we see Miles still seeking Peter’s help; But when the mysterious symbiote emerges, Peter and Miles’ relationship is put to the test. Peter begins to change as he gains symbiote powers, and Miles, Mary Jane, Harry, and the rest of their group of friends must help Peter while facing looming threats from new villains like Kraven, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom!”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released on October 20, 2023. Sony also introduced a specially produced PS5 console package, along with console cases and DualSense controller, specifically for the release of the game.
