In the announcement they made on their official X accounts, the project developers stated that 600 million AVAILs were allocated to those who contributed to the development of the project.

The award-winning categories were announced in the developers’ own words as follows:

  • Blockchain Ecosystem Developers: Developers in the blockchain ecosystem, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, Near, and others, have been working for years to build and scale public blockchains to improve the decentralized coordination of people around the world. Developers working on certain projects will be able to request airdrops.
  • Clash of Nodes Incentivized Testnet participants: More than 87,000 accounts contributed to the Goldberg Testnet as part of the Clash of Nodes Incentivized Testnet, with over 118 million transactions processed. AVAIL was allocated to appropriate addresses based on their position on the leaderboard.
  • Rollup Users: As the future of blockchains focuses on rollups as a critical solution to scalability issues, Avail wanted to thank its most active rollup users. AVAIL was made available to Arbitrum One, Optimism Mainnet, Polygon zkEVM, Starknet and zkSync era wallets based on eligibility criteria.
  • Polygon PoS Stakers: Polygon played a crucial role in the early years of Avail’s founding. Avail started within Polygon Labs in 2020 and later became an independent entity.
  • Key Community Contributors: Rewards were allocated to a variety of contributors in the ecosystem, including leading academic institutions, other contributors, and educators.
