Five companies are coming together for a domestic cube satellite. The satellites produced by the company named Küpsat AŞ will be launched into space in 2024.

In addition to Skytech, the group’s initial stakeholders include Hedef Elektronik, Neta, Profen and QSTC, one of Canada’s leading satellite manufacturers. Following the cooperation protocol, they announced that they would send the satellite they produced into space in the first half of 2024.

In his statement at the conference, Skytech CEO Uğur Ünsal stated that they are planning to carry out mass production in a new factory to be built in Elmadağ, Ankara, in addition to Skytech’s management center in İTÜ Teknopark. This move was considered an important step taken to increase Turkey’s cube satellite production capacity.

In addition to the certified training for professionals in the sector, the conference was followed with interest by satellite companies and many companies serving the aviation and space sector. Skytech’s decision to establish an R&D center to support PCB production in cube and near-orbit satellites stood out as another important development regarding Turkey’s rise in space technologies.
