Dusseldorf The Hessian heating manufacturer Viessmann wants to sell its heat pump division to the USA. Two people from the corporate environment confirmed this to the Handelsblatt. The Wall Street Journal and the Reuters news agency had previously reported on it.
Accordingly, Viessmann is in advanced negotiations with the air conditioning manufacturer Carrier Global from Florida. The valuation of the share in the company that is up for sale is around eleven billion euros, including debt. According to insiders, the climate solutions division, which also includes heat pump production, is to be sold. The Viessmann company website states that this area is “the economic heart of the Viessmann Group”. It accounts for 85 percent of sales.
