Dusseldorf There are many well-known names on the list of fashion retailers who recently had to file for bankruptcy. The fashion chain Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf is one of them, as is the shoe retailer Reno and the department store group Galeria. The most recent case is Ahlers AG.
The men’s fashion manufacturer announced on Monday that it would file for insolvency at the Bielefeld District Court due to impending insolvency. According to the company, bankruptcy applications are also planned for seven German subsidiaries.
With brands such as Baldessarini, Pierre Cardin, Pioneer and Otto Kern, Ahlers AG generated sales of around 171 million euros in the past 2021/22 financial year. In the previous week, another fashion company, Gerry Weber, had sent the German subsidiary into bankruptcy. And announced the farewell to the stock exchange.
