Dusseldorf Is it stress at work, trouble at home, or worry about your job? The causes are as varied as they are individual. But the fact is that the number of mental illnesses is increasing every year.
Women are more affected than men, and the phenomenon affects almost all age groups. The only thing that is striking is that the soul is out of balance, especially in people who are responsible for other people – be it as a manager, teacher or in care.
It is true that burn-out and other mental stress are not linked to specific age groups. What is striking is the significant increase among the 30 to 34 year olds in the population.
Those who take responsibility for others and take care of people seem to run a significantly greater risk of developing mental illnesses in the course of their lives, at least according to statistics.
