SEC Denies Own Employee Existence
Expressing that Ethereum is not a security in a speech he made while he was an SEC officer at an event he attended in 2018, Hinman is the most important witness of the court for this reason. The SEC tried different ways to get in the way of Hinman’s speech, but failed to do so and is now trying to use an interesting tactic regarding Hinman.
Judging by a statement released by the SEC recently, it seems that the SEC suspects that the speaker is Bill Hinman, even though there is a clear video. The SEC is actually trying to slow down the case by emphasizing that they have not confirmed that the person appearing in the video and recording is Hinman.

Looking at the video referenced by Ripple’s legal team, it seems that it also matches the video taken by other sources and this cannot be a played video. The SEC’s appeal against this obvious situation, however, could be positive for Ripple.
Ripple seems to just need time for now, and if the case is settled in their favor, it will mean a new boom for the XRP price.
