93 percent more HR jobs than before Corona

Dusseldorf Actually, HR professionals should fill the many vacancies in Germany’s companies as quickly as possible. But the local job market is currently in such flux that many HR departments are reaching their limits themselves – and are desperately looking for reinforcements. The result: recruiters are increasingly looking for recruiters.

This is shown by exclusive data from the personnel service provider Hays and the job platform Indeed, which is available to the Handelsblatt. According to this, the number of job advertisements in the HR area has risen more sharply in the past two corona years than in IT or engineering, for example. For years, the two areas have been particularly affected by the shortage of skilled workers.

According to Hays, job advertisements for HR managers increased by 93 percent in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to pre-corona times. Demand for IT professionals rose 54 percent over the same period, compared to 48 percent for engineering.
