As we said at the beginning, the new Tiguan was introduced with many engine options. Among these petrol, diesel, mild hybrid and two notable plug-in hybrids options are included. Rechargeable hybrid versions produce 201 and 268 horsepower while coming with a 19.7 kWh battery. Volkswagen adds that a range of 100 kilometers is offered only in electric use.
The car, which will be offered with front-wheel drive as standard and four-wheel drive as an option, will also come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged mild hybrid option. There is also a 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 201 or 262 horsepower and a 2-liter turbodiesel option producing 148 or 190 horsepower.
When we look at the interior, we can see that there have been renovations here as well, and the design of the current generation, which seems to be from the 2010s, has been abandoned. The most striking thing in the interior, which is reminiscent of electric models, is the giant infotainment screen, which is 15 inches in size. Additionally, a 10.25 inch display screen welcomes us inside. Finally, let’s not forget the round button on the center console that comes with its own screen, where you can adjust things such as driving modes, volume, ambient lighting.
When will the new Tiguan come to Turkey?
According to journalist Emre Özpeynirci, the third generation Tiguan is in April 2024 He will come to Turkey. Initially, 1.5 gasoline and 2.0 TDI diesel engine options will be offered. Özpeynirci says that efforts are continuing to bring the rechargeable hybrid option to our country. Let’s add that Volkswagen did not announce the price for the vehicle.
