2023 Porsche 911 Carrera T introduced!

Porsche adds a new name to the 911 family with the 911 Carrera T. Taking the letter “T” from the word “touring”, the light sports models offer a simple driving experience with extremely sporty equipment. The model, which has a standard 7-speed manual gearbox, can also come with an optional 8-speed PDK transmission. Here are the details…

Standard equipment with PASM sport suspension and Sport Chrono package

The PASM sports suspension of the new 911 Carrera T, lowered by 10 mm and reduced insulation, offers a pure and exciting driving experience. You can feel and even hear this difference on winding mountain roads. The sound of the six-cylinder boxer engine can now be heard even more strikingly from inside the vehicle.

The new 911 Carrera T model is positioned between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S. With a twin-turbo engine of the Carrera T, which has a power of 283 kW (385 PS) and a torque of 450 Nm, the car can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 291 km / h.

German luxury car giant Porsche made new statements about its electric cars. There are also developments regarding charging stations.

The standard equipment of the manual transmission Carrera S is powered by Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with mechanical rear differential lock. Sport Chrono package and PASM sport suspension (-10 mm) are offered as standard on the 911 Carrera T.

The only vehicle in which these features are offered with a 385 PS engine, the Carrera T. 911 Carrera S offers the same features as an option. On request, the Carrera T can also be ordered with the optional rear axle steering function normally found on Carrera S and above.

T-specific equipment features include 20- and 21-inch Carrera S wheels in Titanium Gray at the front and rear, respectively, and tires in size 245/35 (front) and 305/30 (rear). The 911 Carrera T is also equipped with GT sports steering wheel, sports exhaust system and Sports Seats Plus (four-way, electric) as standard.

Weighing only 1,470 kg, the manual transmission 911 Carrera T is the lightest 911 series vehicle with the entry-level engine and 35 kg lighter than the 911 Carrera with the standard eight-speed PDK. The 911 Carrera does not have a manual transmission. In addition to raising the rear seats, weight is further reduced with lightweight glass and a lightweight battery.

Special details in interior and exterior design

The Porsche 911 Carrera T stands out from the rest of the model range with its Dark Gray accent details on the exterior. Contrasting elements such as the top and bottom trims on the exterior mirrors, new door and rear logos, and trim strips on the tailgate grille are in Agate Grey.

The upper part of the windshield is also in a gray tone. The tailpipes of the sports exhaust system are finished in glossy black. All these features give the new 911 Carrera T an even more extroverted and dynamic look.

The standard four-way Sports Plus seats in the interior emphasize the sportiness of the car. Matte black decorative details and gloss black decorative trims are complementary elements of the T interior.

Those looking for even more options can opt for the optional Carrera T interior package. This package includes additional seat belts in the contrasting colors Dark Gray or Lizard Green, as well as decorative stitching, an embossed 911 logo on the headrests and stripes in the middle of the seats. Optionally, logo and stitching can be added on the floor mats in contrasting colors Lizard Green and Dark Gray.

The 911 Carrera T features the optional Adaptive Sports Seats Plus (18-way, electric) as well as sportier and extremely lightweight full-racing seats with Race Tex seat centers. The interior package of the Carrera T is optionally available with an extended leather interior. The door panels and armrests in the center console, the upper parts of the interior panel and the door panel trim are also leather.

The new 911 Carrera T is available in four metallic colours: Deep Black, Gentian Blue, Ice Gray and GT Silver, as well as four colours: Black, White, Red and Racing Yellow. Special colors are also available in Chalk, Ruby Star Neo, Carmine Red, Shark Blue and Python Green. 911 Carrera T buyers will also have the option to use the Paint to Sample program, which offers the possibility to paint in more than 110 shades.

Touring concept

The “T” in the model name of the Porsche 911 Carrera T stands for “Touring” and dates back to the 911 T’s approval as a touring car in 1968. This first 911 T remained on the market until 1973, and in 2017 Porsche revived the original 911 model line with the 911 Carrera T from the 991 model line. Since then, the simplified yet extremely sporty installation concept has been successfully applied to the 718 Cayman T, 718 Boxster T and Macan T as well as other model series.
