$1.3 Trillion Invesco Establishes Metaverse Fund

Invesco, one of the global investment firms, steps into the metaverse ecosystem with the Invesco Metaverse Fund.

According to the information conveyed by Citywire, the Luxembourg-based fund; It will focus on blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies, services that digitize economic products and tools, and devices that provide a metaverse experience.

Operating in 120 countries, Invesco has assets worth $1.3 trillion under its management. The size of the fund that the company will set up for the metaverse is not yet known.

Tony Roberts and James McDermottroe, who are part of Invesco’s UK team, will be responsible for managing the fund.

Invesco started its blockchain investments in March 2019 by establishing an exchange-traded fund focused on the blockchain sector on the London stock market. The firm started working with Galaxy Digital in September of last year to develop new ETFs linked to the cryptocurrency industry.
