Dusseldorf The knife and cookware manufacturer Zwilling set a new record last year. The online share of sales rose to 46 percent. That is another six percentage points more than in the pandemic year 2021. The traditional company includes the brands Zwilling, Ballarini, Staub and Miyabi as well as Flammkraft and Santos-Grill.
Comparable industry numbers are hard to come by. The HDE trade association’s online monitor has identified growing digital sales from other consumer goods manufacturers as well, but they cannot be broken down to individual companies.
However, the total turnover of Zwilling grew only slightly in the past year. It rose by three percent to 900 million euros, said Zwilling, which belongs to the Werhahn family business, on Friday. And that can be attributed primarily to the acquisition of the grill specialist Santos.
