Munich When Dieter Zetsche vacated the chairmanship of Daimler, his son Gregor went up the career ladder. Two and a half years ago he was appointed head of the software subsidiary MBition. In the unit, the car manufacturer bundled everything that sounded like the future: software, innovative user interfaces, networking. Now Gregor Zetsche is out of the job.

He moved to AMG in-house at the beginning of September, where he will be responsible for the digitization of the Mercedes sub-brand as “Head of Software”, as Handelsblatt has learned from corporate circles. The AMG tuning unit still has a lot to do with the development of clever software, according to corporate circles. Zetsche should help here with his expertise.
