“Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2”: Trailer shows gameplay and release window – game news

With information on the successor to the open world hit “Zelda: Breath Of The Wild” Nintendo had so far kept a low profile. Except for a short teaser video and the confirmation that the game is in development, the Japanese game company kept a low profile.

Now there was finally new information! On Tuesday, as part of the “Nintendo Direct” presentation at the E3 game fair, a new gameplay trailer was presented showing the game in action.

The game world grows in height

It can be seen: The graphic style of the first part is retained, but the game world has grown in height. Right at the beginning, hero Link flies through the clouds into the picture, you can see floating islands and Hyrule Castle, which was already taken by villain Ganon in the first part, begins to float.

In addition, Nintendo seems to have tweaked the skills of Hero Link: At one point you can see him gliding through stone instead of climbing, at another point he seems to be using a kind of flamethrower.

It is not yet clear whether the new title will be “Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2”. Nintendo only speaks of a successor to the first part.

But it is confirmed that the game will be released for the Nintendo Switch. There is no exact date yet, but Nintendo names 2022 as the release window.
