san francisco Activist investor Elliott Management Corp. has, according to a newspaper report, invested several billion dollars in the SAP rival Salesforce. “We look forward to working constructively with Salesforce to realize the value befitting a company of its size,” Jesse Cohn, managing partner at Elliott, told the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Elliott and Salesforce did not immediately respond to inquiries from Reuters, among others. Salesforce’s market cap is currently $151 billion. In 2021 it was 300 billion and has fallen considerably since then. Starboard Value joined the San Francisco company as an investor in October.
