Berlin Spend the Christmas holidays relaxed with the family? Not all workers can do that. Whether in the emergency room, with an airline, in a call center or in a restaurant: there are many companies in which part of the workforce also has to work on public holidays.
But what about holiday work? And is the employer allowed to hire someone again for Christmas who has already worked at Easter and other public holidays? Are there colleagues who have priority when it comes to Christmas vacation? And what is the pay like?
