Wirex officials announced on February 13 that they will directly issue crypto-enabled credit cards to more than 40 countries through Visa partnership. Officials emphasized that their partnership with Visa will expand further in the future.
Matt Wood, one of the Visa executives, gave the following words after the news of the agreement:
“Visa wants to give consumers more payment options by connecting digital currencies to our customer network. With this agreement, Wirex will expand its business in the Asia-Pacific region to reach larger audiences. We are excited about this new venture.”
Wirex regional manager Svyatoslav Garal went over Wood’s words once again and expressed his satisfaction with the partnership.
Wirex Failed to Register in the UK
Although the crypto payment company serves a large audience in the UK, it has not yet received full approval from government authorities.
Wirex had previously applied for licenses to authorized government agencies, but was withdrawn for an unknown reason. The company continues to serve its customers residing in the country through Croatia.
