Berlin Berlin will elect a new House of Representatives on Sunday. But no matter how Berliners decide: according to surveys, very few residents believe that problems such as traffic chaos, the renovation backlog or the housing shortage will be tackled after the election.

Most Berliners are dissatisfied with their Senate. In the ZDF political barometer, the governing mayor Franziska Giffey (SPD) and her deputy Bettina Jarasch (Greens), both of whom are running as top candidates on Sunday, are moderately popular.
