Berlin In view of the further intensification of the Ukraine war, Chancellor Olaf Scholz is coming under increasing pressure not to turn his back on the delivery of heavy weapons. He was told that there was a cabinet decision not to send such weapons, said the chairman of the Bundestag’s Europe Committee, Anton Hofreiter (Greens).
“My expectation is that this will be lifted as soon as possible,” he demanded and said: “Olaf Scholz must finally deliver.” informed the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael Roth, about the situation in Lviv, Ukraine.
The three parliamentarians were deeply impressed after their visit to Lviv. The people in Ukraine are really desperate, said Strack-Zimmermann. Michael Roth emphasized that there are high expectations of Germany in terms of the delivery of heavy weapons and tightening of sanctions.
