It is impossible to boil an egg when you are on top of Mount Everest. No matter what you do, it will remain raw. So why?

Mount Everest inherently offers many interesting experiences and challenges, and it doesn’t just involve climbing. Even some ordinary, everyday things It can change on Everest.

Here is one of them, the simplest way to cook food while on the summit of Everest. You can’t even boil an egg. Let us explain why.

Why can’t eggs be boiled at the top of Mount Everest?

At high altitudes, such as Mount Everest, the air pressure is considerably lower than at sea level. The boiling point of water is this can vary with the pressure level. For example, if the pressure is low, the boiling point of water also decreases.

If we give an example from Everest, the boiling point of water at the top It is not 100°C but around 70°C on average.

This is why it is impossible to boil an egg on the summit of Everest.

As you know, to boil an egg, the boiling water must be 100°C so that the egg can cook. However, since the water will never be 100°C at the top of Mount Everest, the egg cannot reach the temperature needed to cook.

“But the water is still boiling, shouldn’t it be boiling?” If you say so, let’s explain it this way: Even if the water boils, the temperature of 70 degrees will melt the white and yolk inside the egg. cannot reach the level of complete cooking. So an egg can never be fully boiled.
