Why buy US stocks now – and what against

America is benefiting greatly from the crisis. Investors notice that too: Wall Street is currently the most important financial center in the world.

Frankfurt Get out of Germany – off to overseas! That’s an exaggeration, but some stockbrokers see more long-term opportunities on Wall Street than on the German stock market. The experienced fund manager Jens Ehrhardt believes: “In relation to the development of the stock indices and the currencies, as a German you will increasingly have to concentrate on investing abroad, primarily in the USA.”

This is a long-term idea with multiple arguments and assumptions. First of all, America, as a relatively self-sufficient country in terms of energy, should be able to offer its companies energy quite cheaply in the future. It also remains the home of tech giants.

A Silicon Valley only exists overseas, and the “techies” are at the heart of digital progress. There are no warnings in the USA about the threat of de-industrialization, as in Europe and especially Germany.
