Dusseldorf No stock is rated as low in the Dax as VW. At the same time, no other company offers so many different investment opportunities: you can choose to buy Volkswagen ordinary or preference shares on the stock exchange. Or the outsourced truck manufacturer Traton. Or Porsche Holding, which is a major shareholder in Volkswagen. And as a fifth share, the sports car manufacturer Porsche AG will soon be added.

The word “preferential” is misleading, because the share has one disadvantage: Investors do not have voting rights with it. 88.8 percent of VW preferred shares are widely distributed on the stock exchange. The Emirate of Qatar holds the remainder.
