Berlin After ten months of inexorable war in Ukraine, perspectives have shifted. The vast majority of experts no longer consider it out of the question that Kyiv will emerge victorious in the conflict with Moscow – at least to the extent that Russian troops will have to retreat at least to the February 24 borders.
Since the first Russian offensive and large-scale land gains covering around a fifth of Ukraine’s territory, Ukrainian forces have been steadily pushing back Vladimir Putin’s troops. That alone was considered absolutely impossible in February by many of the experts who now see Ukraine at an advantage.
