Developers Mark First Quarter of Year for Solana Network Transition
Helium altcoin developers stated in their statements that they are on their way to completing the transition process for the first quarter of this year. In addition, the developers made the following statements:
“Helium core developers are working hard to ensure a smooth transition to Solana. This includes the preparation of complete and audited smart contracts as well as the entire Helium ecosystem.
While the main developers continue to test smart contracts and integrations on Devnet, most of the Helium smart contracts are currently in the audit phase. Next up is Helium Oracles start sending data to Solana Devnet. Information on how to test integrations on Devnet will be in the Docs by the end of January.
Proof of Coverage transactions will soon migrate from Validators to Oracles. This is in parallel with Solana’s work and is slated to be activated within the next month. This means more predictable beaconing, greater reliability and less delay in data delivery.
A large number of community members are taking part in the beta testing of Chirpstack, which will replace the current Helium Console for LoRaWAN. Community developers are adding new features while making Chirpstack as useful as possible!”
