When can I ask for the first raise?

Berlin The trial period is over. The final meeting was a complete success. One has settled into the company, was able to record the first successes, win new customers or complete a project. Actually good arguments to ask for a raise. Only: how much time should employees allow between their appointment and the first renegotiation: six months or rather a year?

There is no blanket answer. Every job is different, every company has a different schedule for salary adjustments, every employee celebrates different successes. Still, there are a few points that new hires can keep in mind when asking for more money for the first time.

Two experts revealed to the Handelsblatt what these are: Inga Dransfeld-Haase, President of the Federal Association of Personnel Managers (BPM), and Sebastian Pacher, compensation expert at the Kienbaum personnel consultancy.
