WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging applications, has been constantly offering new features to users since switching to Meta. Taking steps to improve normal and video calling options, the platform announced today that it will add new filters and backgrounds for video calls.
10 filters and backgrounds for WhatsApp video calls
The company, which constantly improves chats on WhatsApp and aims to retain users, is starting to offer more advanced features for video calls. Following the screen sharing feature introduced in the past months, now 10 new filters and 10 new background options are coming.
Filter options include Warm, Cool, Black-White, Light leak, Dreamer, Refracted light, Fish-eye, Vintage TV, Frosted glass and Duotone. On the other side, the background options are Blur, Living room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Gourmet, Brushstrokes, Beach, Sunset, Celebration and Forest.
Thanks to this feature, you will be able to change the color tone of your video conversations, and if you want, you can choose a background to hide your surroundings or get a more stylish look. This feature, which we are familiar with in meeting applications, is finally added to WhatsApp.
You will be able to access the feature, which is stated to be available to everyone in the coming weeks, in one-on-one or group video calls. After selecting the effect icons at the top right of the screen to use when published, you can see the filters and background options and apply them as you wish.
