Carvak is the Turkish brand of Kavak, one of the world’s leading second-hand platforms. Kavak was founded in Mexico in 2016 and has become a game changer in the used car industry.
It surpassed a $4 billion valuation in April 2021, becoming Mexico’s first unicorn (start-up valuation exceeding $1 billion). In September 2021, the company valuation reached $8.7 billion. It continues to grow, with more than 8,000 employees and more than 40,000 cars currently.
After Mexico, Kavak.com started its operations in Argentina in 2020 and Brazil in 2021. As of 2022, as the first investment outside of Latin America, it continues its activities in Turkey with the Carvak brand.
A 15-month warranty is offered to cars purchased from Carvak. The Carvak algorithm calculates the deficiencies and potential malfunctions that may occur in automobiles with scheduling. The company, which prefers cars aged 12 and younger, delivers each incoming car to its new owner in an average of 45 days. Let’s also mention that this figure is between 60-90 days in world standards.
