In addition, a building is currently being built in which berries and salads for the charging park bakery are to grow on four floors – urban farming near the A3, fed by a power supply from two of its own small wind power plants.
It is already clear that the 19 million euro charging park in Hilden will be more than just a short stop to charge the battery for many visitors. “We are something of a pilgrimage site for prototypes and e-vehicle tests,” says project initiator and master baker Roland Schüren and talks about a Scania driver with an electric truck who recently charged him on a test drive from Barcelona to Sweden .
