Maximilian Adelung knows the deadly sides of the German hospital system. Adelung is a specialist lawyer for medical law in Munich, and the people he reports on either did not survive the system or only just survived it. Recently, Adelung’s law firm dealt with the case of a man who underwent open abdominal surgery while water was dripping from the ventilation system above him. The liquid ran into the wound and contaminated the surgical instruments, and the man died of blood poisoning.
