Boston, New Haven, New York A coat of arms adorns the archway made of red clinker brick, dark wood the walls of the library. Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy and Bill Gates studied here. Like Yale and Columbia Universities, Harvard University belongs to the so-called Ivy League, the “ivy league”, a group of eight top universities in the USA, allegedly named after the university buildings covered in ivy.

Here, venerable does not mean outdated. A lot of new things are emerging behind the ivy. A modern center for entrepreneurs, the Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School accompanies students from the idea to the founding.

Producing more founders, especially more successful ones: Many universities around the world have set themselves this goal, including almost all German ones. What can be learned from Harvard in this regard?
