Wolfsburg The VW ID.3 is being revised: Three years after its launch, the e-car is getting a redesigned front end and a noticeably upgraded interior. According to VW, this is a response in particular to the criticism and requests for improvement from customers who were bothered by the material appearance in the interior.

At the same time, VW is expanding the standard equipment to include the large screen in the center console, the cup holder underneath and a removable loading floor in the trunk. In addition, new software will be installed that will enable future updates via radio data transmission (over the air) and will automate communication between the car and the charging station.

Then the ID.3 also masters Plug & Charge and handles the authorization and payment of the charging process in the background.

More patience required – delivery times until the end of 2023

On the other hand, nothing changes in the drive, a VW spokesman confirmed. It remains with the engine with 150 kW/204 hp and batteries with either 58 or 77 kWh, for which VW specifies ranges of up to 546 kilometers.
