Dusseldorf Record profits in 2022 will be followed by record dividends at the late winter and spring AGMs. Because many stocks are well below their peak prices, shareholders will experience unusually high dividend yields as we look forward to 2023. These are calculated from the amount of the distribution and the current price.

Up to eight percent are possible in the Dax. But experts see such high returns more as an alarm signal. “If the return looks too good to be true, it usually is,” warns investment strategist Mark Peden of asset management at insurer Aegon. Often, these stocks have had major weaknesses over the long term that investors should be aware of.
