new York The world’s largest payment processor Visa is ending its global partnership with insolvent crypto exchange FTX. “We have terminated our global agreements with FTX and the US credit card program is being wound up,” a company spokesman told Reuters on Sunday. “The situation with FTX is unfortunate and we are closely monitoring developments.”

FTX and Visa announced an expanded partnership in early October that included the launch of account-linked Visa cards in 40 new countries. FTX filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States on Friday.

Investigations are underway in the Bahamas against the crypto exchange and the company boss Sam Bankman-Fried, who has since resigned, for possible misappropriation of customer funds.
