USA Sanctions Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT Wallets Linked to Russia!

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has identified a series of series that it has identified as affiliated with the neo-Nazi group Rusich. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether (USDT) sanctioned his address.

It was stated that the addresses approved by OFAC were used under false names and belonged to the sabotage and reconnaissance group Task Force Rusich, which has neo-Nazi connections. The addresses were found to contain Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT.

It was stated that the group had actions against Ukraine, and 22 individuals and 2 organizations were included in the sanctions list.

The statement made by OFAC included the following statements:

“As a result of today’s action, all property and assets of the above persons located in the US or owned or controlled by US persons have been blocked. These should be reported to OFAC.”

According to OFAC, illegal organizations in Russia, which suffered a heavy economic blow after the invasion of Ukraine and are the target of sanctions, are looking for different and new ways to receive payments and carry out their transactions. Cryptocurrencies are also one of these ways.
