US stocks close higher after new price data – Bed, Bath & Beyond stock doubles

The Dow Jones index of standard values ​​went up 0.6 percent to 34,189 points from trading. The tech-heavy Nasdaq advanced 0.6 percent to 11,001 points. The broad S&P 500 gained 0.3 percent to 3983 points.

Inflation continued to weaken as expected, although investors were not expecting an upside surprise of an even sharper decline. Goods and services inflation fell to 6.5 percent in December from 7.1 percent in November.
