US stock markets close at their lowest in two months as Fedex stocks nosedive

Frankfurt A gloomy outlook for parcel delivery service FedEx has spooked investors on Wall Street and pushed US indices to their lowest levels in around two months. The Dow Jones index fell 0.5 percent on Friday to 30,822.42 points. The tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 0.9 percent to 11,448.40 points and the broad-based S&P 500 fell 0.7 percent to 3,873.33 points.

Shares of FedEx tumbled 21.4 percent after the parcel giant scrapped its outlook amid a slowdown in the economy.
