According to government circles, President Joe Biden is aiming for an early meeting with the top representative of the opposition Republicans. Biden may want to call Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Sunday, a representative of the President’s Office said.

The US only has ten days to avert a default. Analysts agree that this could not only plunge the American economy into recession, it would also have an impact on the global economy.
