According to a media report, the US consumer protection agency FTC is targeting Twitter. The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that the supervisor is demanding that the short message service hand over internal communications relating to owner Elon Musk.

As part of an investigation, the authority requires insight into detailed information on job cuts and other business decisions. Since Musk took over in October, the FTC has sent 12 letters to Twitter. Initially, no comment was available from Twitter, the FTC and Musk. The company had about 2,300 employees as of January, according to Musk’s latest figures. Before the $44 billion takeover by the Tesla boss, there were more than 7,000.
