Current updates include new content in Zombies mode, festive decorations in Multiplayer, and the return of Ranked mode in Battle Royale, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

Exciting New Collaboration: Call of Duty x Squid Game

The world of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has just expanded with the release of the mid-season 1 Reloaded update. Treyarch has sparked excitement on social media by unveiling a brand-new collaboration set for January 2025: Call of Duty x Squid Game!

Fans of the popular Battle Royale Warzone will recognize that this isn’t the first time Activision has teamed up with other franchises. Previous collaborations have included iconic characters like Rambo, Godzilla, and Rick and Michonne from The Walking Dead. This latest crossover coincides with the highly anticipated season 2 of the acclaimed South Korean Netflix series, Squid Game, promising players a thrilling and unexpected fusion of these two worlds.

What to Expect from the Crossover

While details about this collaboration remain scarce, we did catch a glimpse of a teaser video showcasing a Black Ops operator interacting with a card adorned with the Squid Game logo, featuring the distinct circle, triangle, and square symbols.

So, what exciting features might this collaboration bring to Black Ops 6 and Warzone? For starters, we can anticipate a range of cosmetic additions. It’s likely that we’ll see new operator skins inspired by the series, including fan-favorite Seong Gi-hun, known as number 456, as well as the iconic guards dressed in their striking red outfits and masks marked with the series’ symbols.

On the gameplay front, there’s a strong possibility of introducing limited-time events inspired by the series’ themes. We might see engaging mini-games and new modes reminiscent of the show, complete with rewards and challenges in both Multiplayer and Warzone.

As we await further updates on this intriguing collaboration, there’s plenty to explore in the current mid-season 1 Reloaded content that was launched on December 5. This update features exciting additions, particularly in Zombies mode, including the new map, The Citadel of the Dead, which presents players with fresh secrets to uncover and the unique shadow sword weapon. Additionally, the return of the Vulture Elixir perk-cola and new Gobblegums enriches the Zombies experience.

In Multiplayer, holiday cheer is evident with festive decorations on maps like Nuketown and the return of the Hacienda map from Black Ops 4. The holiday-themed modes, such as Sugar Rush—where players collect cookies—and Infectious Parties, a Christmas twist on the Infected mode, add to the seasonal fun.

For Battle Royale enthusiasts, the Ranked mode has returned, accompanied by two new modes: Holiday Madness, playable on Area 99, and Deadly Tour, available in Resurgence mode.

Since the launch of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on October 25, players have been diving in headfirst, with some already achieving the highest Prestige. However, the rewards for reaching maximum level have left some players wanting more.
