The seamless update feature, introduced by Google in 2016, allows users to install updates in the background and apply the actions after the next reboot. The continuous update, which proceeds slower than the normal update process, contains a layer of security against any problems.
Examining the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the 9to5Google team discovered that the company has turned off the continuous update feature. Underlining that they also control it through ADB, the team explained that Samsung has not yet adopted this feature.

Considering that the feature tends to consume extra storage, it is speculated that Samsung has turned off the nonstop update feature due to storage concerns. Meanwhile, Samsung’s system files take up over 50GB on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It is worth noting that this value is about 30 GB in the Galaxy S22 Ulta model, which was introduced last year.
