Twitter will make new homepage design customizable

In the past weeks, Twitter has divided the homepage design into two for the content that users follow and are interested in. Making a statement on the subject, Elon Musk announced to Twitter users that they will make some changes for the new homepage.

Twitter takes a step back on new homepage design

Twitter analyzes the posts users like and videos they watch. Showing the suggested Tweets and the content of the accounts followed on the same homepage, the company has started to offer these two streams in different tabs in the past weeks.

Users who only want to see what the people they follow can access the content by clicking the Following tab. Users who want to see the content suggested by the Twitter algorithm can see the content in the For You tab.

With the sharing made today, the new Twitter update was announced. Elon Musk said that the update has been released on the App Store.

The new feature, which was criticized after it was made available, prompted the Twitter management. Stating that there is no imposition on users, Elon Musk said, “The next Twitter update, Is It For You (i.e. recommended), will remember the list you followed or created and will stop returning you to suggested tweets.” made statements.

Musk also stated that users will at some point create a custom layout for the pinned lists you have, with the “For You” and “Following” tabs. Users will be able to customize their tabs at the top.
